WE Work
Oppressed people suffer because they aren’t respected as human beings and see no way out of poverty, violence, racial discrimination, lack of civil rights, lack of education, housing and health care.
Opening the door for everyone to get as much education as they want to at their level of aptitude, competence and engagement. Finding out what is needed in a certain society and start programs to begin filling those places. This would be particularly important in parts of the world where children and especially girls don’t usually have access to education. There are still close to 70 million children around the world who lack the means and access to an education.
Many of the 33.4 million people who are living with AIDS or the 25 million who have died from related causes could have been spared had we, as a global community, been more conscious and helpful through safe-sex education in the early days of the epidemic.
